Merry’s Signal 

  In the final book about Merry, the author learns more about rabbits from a variety of sources: the veterinarian, books found in the library, and the rabbit herself.

   In a nose to nose experience, Merry shares a secret message with her human. When the message is tapped on a metal pole with a metal garden tool, Merry comes like a child that is called home by a dinner bell. 

   Then one evening Merry doesn’t come. She is not lost but it is necessary to call her human. The rabbit puts together her own long distance calling system and begins to transmit her message.  Will her human understand?
